“Anthony played a critical role in my early development not only as a drumset player but as a well rounded musician. He always stressed the importance of versatility, and opened my mind and ears to many different drummers and styles of drumming,”
— Musician 1st Class Joseph Ganzelli, U.S. Navy
“My career in music would not have been possible without Anthony. Over the decade I studied with Anthony, I honed my skills from beginner to advanced. He helped me build a solid foundation of the basics, while always pushing me to set and meet my own goals. From the beginning, he stressed the importance of dedication, heart, and drive.”
— Greg LaRosa, Principal Timpanist, NJ Symphony Orchestra
“We are so fortunate to have found a drum instructor for our son with the perfect blend of knowledge, patience, and compassion. Our son has been taking lessons with Anthony for more than two decades, and he continues to amaze us.”
— Nancy and Craig Herring, parents of longtime student
Accolades in music instruction
“Every day, Herring is living out his childhood dream of becoming a drummer,” said Philadelphia’s 6ABC news, about a local drumming sensation living with autism. “And he has his lifelong instructor, Anthony Cracchiolo, to thank for some help along the way.” The duo spearhead a local charity drive that supports the VA Hospital in Coatesville, PA.
U.S. Representative Chrissy Houlihan presented Anthony and Jake with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition in honor of their work together and their contributions to their community.
Jake's drumming journey also earned him a personal letter of congratulations from Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro—a recognition of the extraordinary progress Jake has made and the inspiration his story offers to others.
In the world of professional drumming, few forms of recognition carry more weight than being selected as a finalist for the Dom Famularo Mentorship Award—one of the percussion industry's most prestigious annual honors. Anthony Cracchiolo earned that distinction not once, but in two consecutive award cycles: 2024 and 2025.
